Thanks for visiting my site.
I am a painter whose work explores the expressive power of colour.
Rooted in abstraction, my practice is inspired by the interplay between nature and local culture in the places I visit.
In the past two years, two things have altered what I do. The Ukraine war affected me, such that I started to paint figuratively, responding to refugees fleeing their homes with children, and at the same time exploring my own childhood through old photographs.
Another recent change, was during an artist residency in the west of Ireland, where landscapes and reading about the history and inhabitants of this area, led me in a different direction again.
As you’ve probably seen on my website I also make graphic prints, textiles and collage work.
My work has been shown in multiple gallery settings and I’m always interested in meeting people and discusing my art.
I have been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in 2021, 2023 and 2024. Two of my paintings were also selected for the discerningeye show in London’s Mall in 2023.
I also regularly open my home and studio for the Crouch End Open Studios and The Wivenhoe Art Trail.
At the heart of it all, I’m interested in how we absorb and respond to the world—how our experiences shape the way we see and feel. Each piece is an exploration of that dynamic, a conversation between me, the materials, and the viewer.
Do get in touch and ask me anything.
For example, people have asked for a print of a painting they like, a specific size or to talk about a commission.

My Background
With over 20 years of experience as a Graphic Designer, I honed my skills through formal training and industry work. Seeking to expand my creative horizons, I returned to study for an MA at Central St Martins from 2006 to 2008. This course deepened my passion for sustainability and material exploration, sparking a new and exciting creative direction.
After completing my MA, I was fortunate to receive a range of commissions, including: a three-dimensional shade structure for a Gold Medal-winning garden at the Chelsea Flower Show; a bespoke window display for Louis Vuitton; a series of contemporary wallpapers inspired by ecclesiastical embroidery; and a suspended paper sculpture featuring intricately laser-cut Ginkgo leaves. I also ventured into the world of printed textiles, ceramics, and cards, some of which were sold in the Tate Modern shop.
I also do commissions, as seen by the mural I made for a community centre below!
