The image I created, is based on an area of Essex I am inspired by - Wivenhoe. The river Colne changes with the tides twice daily. At the point of the tide turning, the stillness of the river is often as smooth as glass and I aimed to reflect this moment of calm.
The organic cotton banner is printed on one side, with a sewn linen back.
It is hung and weighted with a pair of solid wooden oak strips.
It can be suspended on the string which is attached.
