I was commissioned by Watts of Westminster, a traditional textile house, to create four new designs with a contemporary aesthetic.  I used mainly pen and ink techniques to give a hand-crafted feel  for the designs which are inspired by Victorian and Edwardian church embroideries found in the Elizabeth Hoare collection.  Elizabeth Hoare owned and ran Watts for many years, and donated her unique collection of church embroidery to Liverpool Cathedral in 1992.
